The Milan Bluegrass Festival premiered in 1980 at KC Campground and continues to be the finest Bluegrass Festival in the state of Michigan. Over the years this incredible music event has grown to celebrate and feature other genres of music as well. In that spirit, the Milan Bluegrass has now become the Milan Music Fest! Festival Promoter and Campground Owner, Mark Gaynier, has an unparalleled passion for Music. Mark makes it his mission to work with up and coming artists as well as well established performers everyone knows and love.
This premier Michigan Bluegrass Festival has featured fan favorites like; Rhonda Vincent, Russell Moore & IIIrd Time Out, Gene Watson, Volume Five, Breaking Grass, The Grascals, Joe Mullins, Becky Buller Band, Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, Dave Adkins, Doyle Lawson, The Lonesome River Band, Amanda Cook, Hammertowne, Balsam Range, The Malpass Brothers, The Gibson Brothers, Trinity River Band and so many more spectacular Bluegrass Bands. Clearly making this event a must attend for anyone who loves Bluegrass Music and is can make it to Michigan to see any number of award winning Bluegrass acts.
Beginning with the 2022 Music Event, festival goers will have the opportunity to enjoy more acts and acts they haven't seen at Milan in the past. Bluegrass Lovers don't despair, the music festival you have come to know and love will still have many of Bluegrass's finest acts.
When you arrive you will find the concert area is featured in the middle of a wonderful 20-acre retreat that has all the amenities a family camping in Michigan loves, such as a playground, pond, weekend hayrides, basketball courts and horseshoe pits. There is something for the entire family to enjoy during their stay with us.
We are "Class A" motorhome and big rig friendly. We are also happy to announce that cabins are now available for rental and of course, tents are always welcome! Forget to pack something? Have no fear, our onsite storeis stocked with the essentials and we even have firewood, ice and a propane fill station. KC Camground Milan also offers a water purification system, modern bath house and a dump station.
